50,000 Points For Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Card!
Earn 50,000 bonus points with the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Credit Card.
I know this is not the type of thing you usually see on Guide to Couponing, however, I am always a sucker for a good deal and have to share it whenever possible.
If you are interested in some free flights on Southwest, then you will be interested in this offer as I was several years ago.
The Southwest frequent flier program is great and I got 50,000 points for signing up for their Visa Southwest Rapid Rewards credit card a few years back after meeting the purchase requirements in the first 3 months. Because you get points and not miles, you can stretch the points to four round trip tickets instead of two. (The way to get four round trip flights out of 50,000 points is by booking shorter flights – the shorter the flight, the less points required.)
There is a $69 annual fee – so really it’s like getting 2-4 round trip tickets for $69.
Southwest is currently offering a referral bonus to current members – I can earn 5,000 points if you use my referral, and you’ll get 50,000 points. Here’s how it works:
Fine print:
- 50,000 bonus points after you spend $2,000 on purchases in the first 3 months of opening your account. Government fees as low as $24 included. That’s enough for at least 2 roundtrip flights.
- $69 annual fee applied to first billing statement.
- 3000 Anniversary points after your card member anniversary.
- No blackout dates to use the points
If you want to get in on this deal, please email me at [email protected] with “Southwest Referral” in the subject line and I’ll send the invitation for you to look over or you can click on the referral link below.
You have to be new to the Southwest credit card, or not have had a Southwest credit card for at least 2 years.
If you watch carefully, you can get some really really good deals on early morning or late night Southwest flights. Or watch for deals like 2,600 points each way. The program above offers 50,000 free points, so you can see how far that can stretch.
Also, gotta love that Southwest is doesn’t charge for your first bag. Or if you can’t made your booked flight, you have up to year to use the credit.
