When you are couponing for a way of life, knowing your local store’s stocking routine is going to be important if you are going to plan shopping trips where you get the most out of the deals you have. You may want to call and talk to a manager to find out what time they stock and what day they get their orders in.
Most of the time, you will find that many stores get orders daily but they try to be done stocking between 4 and 6am. This will be an important window for you to hit if you are looking to clear the shelves of something. While you can usually get a raincheck on the item that you are extreme couponing, but that is going to mean another trip for you or at least one more thing to add to another trip.
The best way to get around this is to plan ahead. Think of this as a fishing trip or black friday. While you may not feel like rolling out of bed at 3am to go to the store, this is not something you will be doing every day. Plan in advance, have your coupon binder together and try to go to bed earlier- that is, if you can sleep with thoughts of saving all of that money buzzing through your head.
